Instructions
If you have the Creative Feet Technical Guide &
Workbook, you should turn to the Inlaid beading chapter for illustrated instructions
on how the first rows are sewn.
Place beads beneath a see-thru fabric with the right-side facing up.
Sew a row of stitching without holding the beads.
Repeat using the left side of the Pearls 'N Piping foot as a guide to easily sew the beads an
even distance away from each row.
Lay fabric with beads sewn in over a complimentary color fabric so that the beads are down.
(You should be able to see the beads though the fabric.)
Slide both fabrics beneath the foot so that one of the rows of beads is beneath the tunnel on
the bottom of the foot.
The double needles will sew on either side of the the beads. Sew over all rows. This will attach
the two fabrics to each other.
Place a 4mm bead between two of the rows of raised beads.
Lift the foot so that either sides of the tunnel on the foot rest on top of two of the rows of
that are sewn under the see-thru fabric.
Remove the double needle.
Select a zigzag stitch, adjust the width so that the needle will clear the beads that are on top.
Be sure that the width is not too wide or it will strike the beads beneath the fabric.
Slowly sew the larger beads down.
