The
support tables are designed in 4 pieces so you do not
have to have a workspace as large as you would if it
was a single piece. When the largest hoop (Super Double-Wide)
is set up, the measurement or space required on your
table is, 30" wide by as little as 20" deep.
Illustrations below show how to use these hoops on a
smaller surface or workspace by alternating the use
of front or back table tops and sliding the machine
forward and back.
You
must know how to use the software for your machine in
order to use the hoops to their fullest potential. In
order to fill in a complete hoop with a SOLID design,
you must SPLIT designs so that the machine will accept
the design. Until you have a complete understanding
of your software you CAN use these hoops for simplified
hooping and extra length.
You
must use our support table with the specially designed
base in order to stretch the machine to the exact limit
and to support the ennormous size of these hoops. Failure
to use the recommended support table and base with these
hoops can damage your machine's embrdoidery unit.
Your
work area must be large enough to hold the spacing base
and to allow for the hoop to slide all the way forward
and all the way back. To prepare your workspace be sure
to have an area cleared that measures: 36" wide
by 28 " long.
The
Double-Wide Extension base is required in order to position
the embroidery unit and machine the exact distance away
from one another allowing for the wider hoops. This
specially designed base also ensures that the embroidery
unit is properly aligned with the machine.
Why do you need to purchase the new Double-Wide table
if I already have the Giant-L. Hoop-It-All first released
the exciting Giant-Long hoop (shown at bottom of page)
for these machines. If you have already acquired the
Giant-Long hoop the Standard table pictured above on
the left was included with your kit and can be used
with our new Super Giant -Long Hoop also shown at the
bottom of this page. These tables are significantly
smaller than the new Double-Wide tables.
If
you already have the Giant-Long or Super Giant Long
and want to know if you can use the base --- No. You
absolutely cannot. The base is what makes it possible
to stretch your machine apart. Without the base and
cable your machine and embroidery unit will not be in-line.
Not following our recommendation places your machine
at risk of serious damage. Therefore the cables are
not sold separately under any circumstances.
If
you are considering using your Giant-Long and/or Super
Giant-Long table front and back with the Double-Wide
Base you will soon see why it is not a good idea. Open
gaps will be revealed that can cause your bobbin thread
to become caught on the edges of your embroidery unit
causing the hoop to stop moving while the embroidery
unit continues to move and causing the embroidery unit
to go out of calibration, or even worse. Additionally,
if you think about the fact that the hoop is twice the
width of the other hoop; it is clear that the hoop will
not receive enough support to protect your machine from
any possible damage and therefore not feasible. (We
did make every attempt to design the Double-Wide Hoops
using the table you already have and were frustrated
just as you are now that it didn't work. However, we
are sure that you can see the benefits out-weigh the
costs.) Therefore, we strongly recommend that Double-wide
TABLE FRONT -and- BACK be used with all Double-Wide
hoops.
It is not necessary to split designs or to use software
programs with the Double-Wide Hoops. You can create
larger designs than your machine can sew in a single
sewing field by simply combining normal designs together
to create a collage making your own one-of-a-kind picture.
The photos within our photo gallery are an excellent
source of examples of how creative you can be using
designs that you already have or those you might choose
to download from the Internet.
There
are however, some reasons to use software with our hoops,
for instance, if you want to embroider a single design
that is larger than a single design would normally be
for your machine, or if you want to gather together
different pieces/elements of designs cards on your screen
creating a unique design. Your fabric becomes a canvas
that you fill in using whatever individual design you
like on many different cards. Most of the design samples
that you see here on our site were created by using
built-in designs, memory cards, stock designs and smaller
designs downloaded from the Internet and then combining
them together.
Using
our Giant hoops does not suddenly make your machine
capable of sewing a larger sewing field than it was
designed to sew out. Our hoops simply make it so that
you are not required to re-hoop your fabric. With special
embroidery software you can embroider designs larger
than your machine’s embroidery field. You can
place these oversized designs anywhere you desire within
the hoop frame. (Scroll down page to see 4-part illustration
showing this process.)
There
are several software products available that split these
oversized designs into the proper size for your machine.
This allows you to then embroider these designs in sections,
like piecing a puzzled together. Once the embroidery
is completed and all pieces are sewn, it appears as
if you embroidered a huge design with your machine all
at once. Ask your dealer which splitting/slicing software
programs are best for you and your machine.
